Welcome to We all love to eat watermelon. Usually we eat the red pulp of the watermelon and then throw away the green peel. But we can make sabzi with this peel, sweet candy or murabba. Today we will make murabba out of the watermelon peel. Let’s start making
Watermelon’s peel murabba. Ingredients- Watermelon – 1.5 watermelons peel. We’ve taken out the pulp and using these peels, we will make murabba. Sugar – 1 cup. Green cardamom – 4. Nutmeg – 1 pinch (stone grinded) Firstly we will peel off the green hard part of the peel. Peel out thin parts of it. Cut the thick pieces into ½ or ¾ inch pieces. Do the same with the rest of the peel. All the pieces are ready now we will blanch them. Take a container, heat
an amount of water so That watermelon peel will
easily dip into them. We have heated 2 ½ cup of water. When there will be a boil in the water, then we will put these peels into the water. Now that there’s a boil in the water, add the pieces. Cover it and let it boil for 5 minutes. It’s done now. The pieces are boiled now. Turn off the gas. Take out the pieces from the water. Sieve the extra water in a bowl and separate the pieces. We have blanched the watermelon’s peel. Now we will put it back in the container, we have separated the water out of it. Now add the sugar to the pieces. Cover it with a lid for 2 hours. So, that the sugar dissolves with the watermelon’s pieces. After that we will cook it in the stove. The sugar has dissolved.
Now, we will cook it

In the stove and make the
sugar syrup thicker. Even if the sugar hasn’t
dissolved, put in the stove In dim flame. The sugar
will dissolve quickly. Now, cook it in the stove. We have stone grinded the cardamom and we will put the nutmeg in it too. We have added nutmeg and cardamom’s flavor in it. But you can use mace, saffron, cinnamon, or vanilla essence. Whatever you like you can take that. Let’s check the syrup, take 2 drops of syrup in a plate to check. After it cools down see whether it is sticking in your finger or not. I can see a string consistency in the syrup, the syrup is ready now. We will keep this dipped in the syrup for 4-5 hours. Let’s cover it. The watermelon’s peels murabba is ready. A very nice fragrance is coming out from the murabba. Take it out in a bowl. Now we will make its candies. Sieve it now and the dry the
watermelon’s pieces that Will be sieved out in air
till it's a little dry. Then we will have watermelon’s peels candies. The murabba is ready, it has come out very nice. You can eat it like a sweet or with ice cream, cakes or use it in making custard. Put the murabba in a glass container and store it in the fridge and use it for 5-6 months.
