Video shows bunny rabbits eating watermelon on a hot sunny day. Rabbits are small mammals(Lepovidae). There are around 305 breeds of rabbits in the world that are domesticated. There are 13 wild species like the cottontail found in countries like Mexico etc…

A female rabbit is called a doe and a male rabbit is called a buck and the names called rabbits range from bunny, pet rabbit, bun and bunny rabbit. Rabbits have a shot a life span of around 9 years and sleep for around 9 hours in captivity. Mass of rabbits ranges from 700grammes to 2.5 kilogrammes and the length ranges from 34 cm to 50 cm.

In most countries rabbits are a symbol of prosperity, good luck or fertility. In Europe they are called springtime animals meaning renewal and fruitfulness. They are highly social animals which love company and are highly social with social structures within themselves if they leave in a group. They feel lonely and sad if they are without companions.

Food:
They require a balanced diet of hay, fresh vegetables, fruit and some pellets. They have a very sensitive digestive system. Most of the food for the bunnies should consist of hay,Timothy, grass, oat Hays. Most young rabbits should be fed alfalfa, meadow hay. However some foods are dangerous to rabbits and these include; avocado, fruit pips, seeds, apple seeds, chocolate, allium vegetable, rhubarb and many others. Rabbits enjoy to eat things like leaf vegetables, beet root, broccoli, bell peppers, Brussels sprouts, iceberg, watermelon, bananas and many more foods.
Watermelon fruit is a good food for rabbits but it should be given in moderation because of its high sugar content in the flesh of the watermelon. It is ideals on hot days that are sunny so that they have a good water intake for their normal body metabolism.

Most over-the counter medicines like ibuprofen, paracetamol, etc…can kill or will kill rabbits, insecticides, bug killers even if they are in small doses. Therefore care has to be taken to be kept out of reach for the rabbits.
